The additional presentation of concept design is going to be Friday, 2nd October. Students asked for completition should arrive latest until 8.30 Friday and present, or submit the missing part of the concept design! We start at 8.15 in room K 344 with the presentations left! Then we continue with consultation.

Dear Students,
as we agreed today with the students present, we bring forward the first common presentation of Concept Design 1 with one week, in order to have more time later for working in bigger scale. That means the 1st presentation is the 11th week on Monday, 9th March.
DESIGN SITE VISIT SÓSKÚT on Saturday 14th February! The site visit starts at 10:25 in Sóskút, in front of the Roman catholic church on the main street. Together we will walk around the centre of the village and visit the design sites. You can get to Sóskút by public transport from the bus terminal Kelenföld (Volánbusz). There are two buses at 9.20 and 9.25 leaving for Sóskút.

The project site for the Departmental Project 3 of the spring semester 2015 is the centre of Sóskút. The design project consists of planning different moderately complex public buildings. The sites and the programs are different, rating from the sloping to almost even, from community centre to restorer's workshop. To understand the complex surrounding, to analyse the existing buildings, to understand the relationships are the most important challenges of the semester work. There will be different programs of ca. 6-800m2 depending on the size of the design sites. The semester starts with the presentation of the programs and the visit of the sites.

The first lesson starts Monday 9th February 14.15 in room K 397.
- This year we celebrate the 200 year birth anniversary of the famous Hungarian architect Miklós Ybl. So you will have the opportunity to visit two main works of Ybl.
- We also organised a tour for Brazilian Students (of the Industrial group) to a riding hall and establishments and to a "pálinka" distillery.
The preliminary program:
Monday 31st March: Visit of the newly renovated "Várkert Bazar" with the guidance of architect Dévényi Tamás. We meet at 9.00 am. Budapest, Ybl Miklós tér.
(personal identification card, passport required!)
Tuesday 1st April: Visit of Bábolna Ménesbirtok (stud-estate) in Bábolna in the morning with lunch. Agárdi Pálinkafőzde in Agárd with "pálinka" tasting in the afternoon.
Wednesday 2nd April: Visit of the State Opera with professional English guidance, visit of the Basilica St. Stephan with English guidance.
All Brazilian students and Erasmus students of the Public 2 courses are welcome. Please confirm your participation until 12.00 Friday 28th March!

on 6th November 2014. Thursday 10:15-14:00 is the 2nd mid-term presentation: the presentation of preliminary design. Please do arrive on time to have enough time for the evaluation of everyone's project. This is the last important compulsory occasion before the last submission, so you are mostly recommended to come and present your work! You have to pass all the preliminary presentations.
ADDITIONAL POSSIBILITY ONLY TODAY!
There will be an extra site visit today where to the plot I. (Waterworks), that is a closed area otherwise. The site visit starts at 15:30 at the white pavilion on the pedestrian area Érd, Pelikán sétány and Alsó street. Please, do use the opportunity!

DESIGN SITE VISIT ÉRD on Thursday 11th September, there is no lesson in the morning!
Instead we meet at 13:30 in front of the classroom K212 and travel by public transport. The site visit starts at 15:00 in Érd, in front of the Municipality, Érd Alsó street.

Following the semesters analysing the urbanization progress of the Budapest conurbation we have chosen
(the centre and the immediate surroundings of) Érd for the project site for the Departmental Design 1 and 2 of the autumn semester 2014.
There will be different programs like music school, library, youth centre, sports club, restaurant /café.

The second presentation of the preliminary design will be postponed onto Monday 14th April 2014! So this Monday 7th April will be studio work, consultation.

The finishing of the Studio week will be an exhibition of the works of Hungarian students in the newly renovated "Várkert Bazár" Budapest, Ybl Miklós tér.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition 12.00 am Friday, 4th April 2014 in room 3 b 008 of Várkert Bazár. Our students got the corner opposite to the entrance from the loggia.
All Brazilian students and Erasmus students of the Public 2 courses are welcome.
News about the Studio Week!
Thank for those who confirmed their participation for the programs of the 1st and 2nd April.
I think it was an interesting morning for those who joined us at Várkert Bazár today.
The further programs for the next two days:
We organized a bus for 16 people for tomorrow, so the students who confirmed are welcome: Luisa, Alexandre, Amanda, Clément, Rafaela, Izabela, Florence, Luciano, Ramón, Tarcisio. There are some 2-3 free places left in the bus.
Tuesday 1st April: We meet at 9.00 am. in the parking place in front of building K (central building). Műegyetem rakpart 3.
Visit of Bábolna Ménesbirtok (stud-estate) in Bábolna in the morning with lunch, Agárdi Pálinkafőzde in Agárd with "pálinka" tasting in the afternoon.
Return in the late afternoon.
Costs:Bábolna visit about 1.300,- HUF
lunch, simple menu 800,- HUF
Agárd visit with "small pálinka tasting" 2.100,- HUF
Wednesday 2nd April: Visit of the State Opera with professional English guidance, visit of the Basilica St. Stephan with English guidance.
We meet at 8.50 am. in front of the Hungarian State Opera, 1061 Budapest, Andrássy út 22., the visit starts at 9.00 am. Than we walk to the Basilica St. Stephan, 1051 Budapest, Szent István tér 1., the visit starts at 11.00 am.
Costs: Opera visit with English guidance for group of students 1.500,- HUF/ person
Basilica visit with English guidance for group of students 1.200,- HUF/ person

Departmental Project 3 – Pannonhalma
We will work on programs that fit both the characteristic of the country and the Department, such as a winery, spirit distillery,
covered riding-hall.
The project sites are situated in Pannonhalma. We will start the semester with a visit of the building sites to get a picture of the task.
